Ron was brilliant. He really tried to help. He spent hours trying to fix our GivEnergy AIO and ultimately it became apparent that it needed parts to fix the BMS management system. As there appears to be no replacement parts available on the market, he gave excellent advice on what options are now available to move forward. He is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.

Mark Mayson · Jun 2026 Google

My GivEnergy solar and battery system is failing intermittently, GivEnergy is in administration and so is my installer, so it was a relief to get Ron’s expert advice.

Steve Trossell · Jun 2026 Google

I can’t praise this firm enough. After hearing my solar panels rattling in very windy conditions, I contacted Solar Tech (as my installers no longer trade). Ronald was fantastic at explaining what he thought the issue was likely to be. Communication was great throughout keeping me fully updated. The team worked really hard on the day to carry out the necessary work. I can now sleep soundly at night without worrying about the solar panels on my roof. I would thoroughly recommend this firm. Thank you for sorting the problem out.

Carolyn Addison · Jun 2026 Google

Ron diagnosed the problem remotely - efficiently and order the part identified as the fault - this part came directly from to me and Ron visited within a few days and within the hour corrected the problem and since everything has been excellent -highly recommended - very pleasant manner and lovely to work with . Ivor Morris · Jul 2026 Google

Absolutely amazing service. Ive had a couple of issues with my Givenergy system and couldn't manage to get in touch with Givenergy after they went bust. So I was searching on Google and came across Rons number. I sent Ron a WhatsApp message and got a prompt reply and he resolved the problem I had with my system. I can't recommend Ron enough its not often you get such a good service in this day and age. If you are experiencing issues with your solar system Ron is the man to contact.

How charging works in practice

1
You contact us

You submit the booking form, call, or email. No charge for the conversation. We don't take payment details upfront.

2
Free remote diagnostic

We confirm same-day, schedule a 30-minute live session, run the diagnostic. Still no charge at this point.

3
Clear outcome

We identify the fault and tell you one of: we can fix it remotely (here's the charge), it needs on-site (here's the quote), it's DIY-fixable (free advice), or it's out-of-scope (free direction).

4
You decide

No pressure. You decide whether to proceed with the paid fix or not. If you decline, you pay nothing for the diagnostic.

5
Written invoice if we proceed

If we proceed, you get a written invoice covering the fix charge and any parts. Parts always quoted before purchase.

FAQ

Common pricing questions

For remote diagnostics, no — we operate no fix, no fee. If we cannot resolve your fault remotely you pay nothing. No session fee, no admin fee, no charge whatsoever. For on-site visits, the minimum visit fee always applies because we cover travel and time on site — but we always quote the on-site work in writing before we attend, so you commit before we travel.
Free advice. We tell you exactly what to do. No charge, no obligation. Many common faults (CT clamp reversed, Eco Mode reset, app misconfigured) take five minutes to walk you through. We give you the answer because it's the right thing to do — and because customers we treat fairly come back.
No. The service fee covers our engineering labour and travel. Any parts needed — inverter, battery module, CT clamp, wiring, contactor, breaker — are quoted separately once identified. You receive an itemised written quote and approve costs before we purchase or install anything. This keeps pricing transparent and prevents surprises.
No — the remote diagnostic is free. If your free remote diagnostic identifies a fault that needs the remote fix charge, you pay only the fix charge from £95. If it needs on-site work, you pay the on-site visit fee from £295 minimum. You're not paying twice — the diagnostic itself is genuinely free either way.
All work is completed to a high standard using parts with manufacturer guarantees. Components we install carry the manufacturer warranty (typically 2–5 years depending on the part). Our labour is warrantied for 12 months from completion — if we make an error, we return to put it right at no cost. We also work to protect your existing inverter or battery manufacturer warranty throughout the repair.
Book the free diagnostic anyway. We'll review your system, your symptoms, and any quotes you've received from other engineers. If everything is fine or someone else has quoted you fairly, we tell you. If something is wrong or someone has overquoted you, we explain that too. Free either way — no obligation, no pressure to book follow-on work.
Commercial and B2B customers operate on a paid-from-the-start model — engineering time is billed regardless of fault outcome. Annual O&M contracts start from £10/kWp/annum. Emergency repair, system takeover, and independent audit work is priced per engagement (POA). The no-fix-no-fee policy applies only to homeowners using the free remote diagnostic.
