Excellent service from Solar Tech Support. Extremely quick to respond, easy to deal with and clearly very talented engineers. They were persistent throughout a complex GivEnergy battery issue and resolved everything completely. Highly knowledgeable, professional and reassuring support from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Report a fault nowThank you for your diligence. On this occasion the battery was able to be saved but they have given a route to hopefully arrange a repair from the manufacturer.
Contacted Solar Tech Support in desperation. After explaining the issues I had with my system a diagnosis was made and a solution proposed. Fantastic service, even contacted a manufacturer to arrange replacement parts for me. Great communications, explained all they were doing and what I had to do, clearly and precisly. Followed up to confirm all was ok. Excellent service.
Ron made more sense in 20 mins than our installer has done over the last 12 months There is a jungle out there and you need someone like Ron to give a comprehensive overview and solution
My 90-year-old father-in-law had a solar system installed nearly three years ago that never worked properly and kept tripping out. Neither the original installer nor GivEnergy could resolve the issues, and we were even pushed towards replacing the system entirely when GivEnergy went bust. I contacted Ron at Solar Tech Support via WhatsApp, and within a few hours he had diagnosed multiple faults — including incorrect wiring that posed a potential fire risk. He carried out a home visit in Nottingham for £295 (including parts), fixed everything, completed firmware updates, and ensured the system was fully operational. Since then, it has worked perfectly. Ron was knowledgeable, responsive, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Highly recommended — excellent value and complete peace of mind.
Ron want out of is way to help, nothing was to much. He was very thorough in what he did Very knowledgeable I would highly recommend Ron and his company He did a fantastic job for me. if you have any problems, he'll do his best to help you out and resolve your problem. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them
Emergency response — rate card
Free if we can't fix it remotely. If we do fix it remotely, you pay the remote-fix rate only.
Business-hours emergency callout — diagnosis + scope of any larger remedial work.
Weekend, evening or confirmed-safety same-day attendance.
Labour for three-phase / large commercial inverter replacement. Part sourced separately at cost.
Complete shutdown, error codes, overcurrent faults, grid relay failure, or intermittent tripping. We diagnose the root cause and carry out on-site inverter replacement where required — SMA, Huawei, Solis, SolarEdge, GoodWe, Fronius and others.
Sudden or gradual drop in kWh output. Could indicate string faults, failed optimisers, partial shading from new obstructions, soiling, or degraded panels. We compare actual performance against expected yield and isolate the cause.
System reporting stopped — data gaps, inverter communication lost, sensors showing stale readings. Often resolvable remotely via firmware reset, network reconfiguration, or CT clamp recalibration.
BMS errors, charge/discharge failures, cell balancing warnings, or thermal shutdowns on commercial battery arrays. Module-level diagnosis and coordination with the battery manufacturer where warranty claims are applicable.
Ground faults, arc faults, DC isolation failure, or damaged cabling flagged by the inverter or external monitoring. We attend, safely isolate the affected circuit, provide a written safety assessment, and scope the remedial repair.
Export limitation not working correctly, DNO compliance faults, or G99 relay tripping unexpectedly. Reconfigure export settings, verify protection relay parameters, and ensure the system meets its connection agreement.
How emergency repair works — 5 steps
Use the form below or call us directly. Provide as much detail as you can: error codes, which inverter is affected, when the issue started, and whether the system is still generating. The more we know up-front, the faster the triage.
An engineer reviews monitoring data, error logs, and system history remotely. Many faults — communication errors, firmware issues, export limitation problems — can be diagnosed and resolved without a site visit. Remote triage is free if we cannot resolve remotely.
Best-effort next-business-day on-site attendance. Our engineer attends with the tools, test equipment, and — where pre-identified — replacement components needed to resolve the fault in a single visit. Out-of-hours callouts available for confirmed safety issues.
Faulty inverters swapped, failed strings reconnected, isolators replaced, monitoring reconnected, safety issues remediated. Any larger remedial work is quoted in writing before we proceed — no surprise invoices, no work without your sign-off.
Every callout concludes with a written report: diagnosis, work completed, parts replaced, recommendations. Suitable for sharing with insurers, landlords, facilities-management teams, or the DNO if grid-side issues were flagged.
Emergency callout coverage — Yorkshire and South Wales
From our Yorkshire base we attend commercial sites across Leeds and West Yorkshire, Wakefield and the Five Towns, and the Barnsley district. In South Wales, Cardiff has a locally-based engineer — same-day to next-day on-site for urgent commercial faults. Remote triage is available nationwide.
