About LuxPowerTek systems — what you need to know

LuxPowerTek (often referred to as Lux Power or Lux) is a Chinese manufacturer producing hybrid inverters and LiFePO4 battery systems for the UK residential market. Their core UK range includes the LXP-3600, LXP-5000, and LXP-6000 single-phase hybrid inverters, paired with the UHome (LFP-2400) battery module — a 2.4kWh stackable LFP unit with 90% depth of discharge and a 30A charge/discharge rate. Multiple UHome modules can be stacked to build the required total storage capacity. Systems carry an IP65 rating and a 10-year battery warranty.

Monitoring and schedule configuration is managed through the LuxPower monitoring portal (luxpowertek.com). The inverter's WiFi logger must maintain a stable 2.4GHz connection for remote access to work. The most common queries we handle for Lux Power systems: Lux Power battery not charging overnight, LuxPower portal offline, UHome BMS communication fault, Lux grid disconnection, and LuxPowerTek Octopus setup. Lux systems are sometimes sold as Infinity Innovations branded packages in the UK. STS provides independent support — not affiliated with LuxPowerTek.

FAQs

LuxPowerTek questions answered

The most common causes are: the charge window not being enabled in the LuxPower portal TOU schedule, grid charge being disabled, the SoC minimum already being met so the battery never triggers a charge, or a BST/GMT clock offset causing the window to fire at the wrong time. We reconfigure the full schedule remotely.

The UHome (LFP-2400) is LuxPowerTek's low-voltage (48V) LiFePO4 battery module, providing 2.4kWh of usable capacity per unit. Multiple modules can be stacked to reach the required total capacity. Each module communicates with the LXP inverter via CAN bus and charges/discharges at up to 30A. The 90% depth of discharge means nearly all the stated capacity is accessible in daily use.

The LuxPower portal requires a stable 2.4GHz WiFi connection from the inverter's datalogger. After a router change, password update, or BT/Virgin Hub firmware push, the logger loses its connection. The inverter and UHome battery continue to operate normally — only remote monitoring and portal access is affected. We reconnect the datalogger remotely.

Yes. We configure the TOU charge and discharge windows in the LuxPower portal to correctly use Octopus Agile, Go, Intelligent, Flux, or any other time-of-use tariff. This often resolves overnight charging complaints that are configuration errors rather than hardware faults. Most configurations are completed in a single remote session.
